Haworth’s Aeonium (Aeonium haworthii), also known as “Pinwheel Plant”, is a sand dwelling succulent shrub native to the Canary Islands, that has beautiful blueish green leaves, bordered with a scarlet tinge. Its name derives from the Greek word for eternal or ageless (“Aionios”), and is thought to symbolize attracting harmony, repelling negativity, and encouraging unconditional love. This one was growing in Kula, Maui.
