This White Hibiscus (Hibiscus arnottianus or Koki'o ke'oke'o in Hawaiian) can grow up to 30 ft tall and 20 feet in diameter, and is endemic to Oahu-making it one of only 7 species of Hibiscus that are native to Hawaii! Unlike its more common relative Chinese Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis), the flowers on this native Hawaiian Hibiscus actually have a pleasant floral aroma, making it one of the only species of fragrant Hibiscus in the world. This was growing in Huelo, Maui.
